Is that all there is?
It can appear we know ourselves so well. So well in fact, the whole self thing gets rather boring. We start to forget to do the things we like. We get so busy we don't have time for self-care, or even really caring at all. We don't check in anymore because the thought occurs "what's the point?" Usually this trend develops over a long time of avoidance. Discomfort/pain/disappointment occurred and instead of dealing with it, we deflected and looked away. So if you have become a stranger to your own self, it may be time to get reacquainted.
Start at ground level. What is it you really want? And what will having that do for you? And then ask this sequence again and again. If you find you don't know what you want then instead try and guess. What might someone like you but not you, want? If you are honest, you may be surprised at what you find. A muted, numbed out life is not what is meant for you. If you have the secret thought "is that all there is?" take the time to find out.
